Todays route was the prettiest we've had so far. Small roads fenced by stone walls, olive tree plantations as far as the eye could see, gentle up- and (mostly) downhills....
The only problem was that during the first two hours this morning, it rained. And was windy, which made a generally freezy combination. But after about 30k we reached a small town, where we could warm up over a hot drink ("Two hot chocolates please!" - "Oh, I'm sorry, we don't have hot chocolate" - "Ok, how about some hot milk maybe?" - "Oh, yes, hot milk works! Would you like some cocoa powder in it?" - "...sure. Thanks!") and by the time we got out the sun had broken through the clouds again. The afternoon was a gentle amble down to the coast and just about generally lovely. We saw the occasional trullo, although only in the fields so far, none that were actually lived in.
Tonight brought us to the worst campsite so far (although admittedly we've been really spoiled with great sites until now).
Tomorrow has us back on the larger coastal roads again.
