Our stay in Rocca San Giovanni continued as wonderful as it had started. If you are ever in the area, we can now also recommend a fantastic restaurant. We had the most delicious and diverse food for incredibly good value on a terrace with view of the old town walls..... I think our time in that town will remain one of the highlights of this trip.

This morning, we sent another package northwards: 2kg of stuff this time. At least the bike looks a little lighter now with two less bags....

Today was a pleasant cycling day: a few hills at the start, which were challenging but doable, and then riding along the coast. We are encountering a lot more other cyclists - mostly on racing bikes, but today we saw a few tourers as well. Cycle paths are also getting more frequent and more usable as we get further north, but we have yet to find one that really works well for more than a few hundred meters at a time. The scenery continued to be nice, especially due to the snow-covered mountains in the background.

Now we are in a small campsite which is directly adjacent to the campsite we had originally thought to stay at. We were lucky this one was here, because the other campsite is ridiculous: Blaring loudspeakers with announcements in three languages, three pages of rules, obligatory armband-wearing, mandatory mozzie--sprazing at 6am.... of course it is also quite expensive. It has to be said that our current, small, charmingly unpretentious campsite does not have a pool, but I am not entirely sure how much of a drawback that is when we are literally 30m from the sea.
